hi all,
we went out today (July 12,sat). i went into the barn and buddy nickered at me. i went over and gave him some apples and got him out and groomed him, his thrush is now back :( . his coat is really smooth now and not as dirty. after that i did some parelli and got on him bareback and the reason I've been riding him bareback is i been training him to walk, trot,and canter perfectly in the indoor and outdoor arena and pastures. and right now it wouldn't make a lot of sense to tack him up and just walk in the indoor arena. and after that i let him loose in the arena and took care of his stall and i put some blackberry's in his feed bin. then i took him out to graze up by pokey he found some really nice grass then i put him back in his stall and feed him and turned him out and made sure his stall was in order thats all for now

hi all, we went out today but I'll finish up what happened previously.July 7 (Mon) we went out today and i let buddy loose in the out door arena to allow him to stretch his legs, of course after i blocked the other horses out. as we all know it's not good for a horse to stand still in a stall all day, because it cuts of the circulation in there legs or something like that. so when I'm there i always let him loose in one of the arenas for a while or until someone needs in. after that i groomed him his thrush is healing nicely. after that i mucked out his little spot in his stall, (his back legs stand in a small hole ,which i will soon get a stall mat, and he poos in that one spot so i just take a shovel and scope the poo out) and put fresh shavings in,cleaned his buckets and put fresh water in,and put all his hay into the corner. after that i did some parelli and he's gotten really good and gave him some treats and of course massaged him.after that i found a really tall and thick grassy spot and let him graze. July 10 the big reveal was amazing!!! to bad it rained that day :). i just got him out and let him run around, groomed him (thrush is almost gone :) !!!),massaged him and found another itchy spot,cleaned his stall and feed him (and a special thanks goes out to Mr. ivy for the Delicious hamburgers and hot dogs). July 11 we went out today and i got out buddy and we went out to his pasture (big one on the left) and for his exercise just walked him on some trails and played in the creek,we found a snake and ran away. after that i brought him back in the barn to dry off in the wash rack while i mucked out his spot in his stall and did his buckets. after he finished drying off i took him outside to his grassy spot to graze and be groomed and his thrush is gone (finally :) ) and gave him some treats i held out on the parelli because today we where just going to have fun. i feed him turned him out and finished the other chores :)

hi all, on July 5 (sat) we went out like normal to help with evening feed. when we arrived i went into the barn picked up bud's poo and checked his feet and the thrush was worse.i gave him some blueberry's (his 5th favorite out of apples:( . i got him out and groomed him,massaged him, did some parelli training,and wormed him, he had worms again and he was rubbing badly and I'll worm him in a month and a half.after that i let him loose in the arena and cleaned his buckets,watered,mucked and put fresh shavings in,put some more blueberry's in his feed buckets and brought him in. after that i feed him and brought him out and made sure his stall was in order and finished with the other chores. hi all I'm so sorry i haven't posted for a month, moms computer went down for three weeks and she had to use our monitor so i couldn't get on and when she hooked it back up the blog didn't recognize me. but buddy is doing great on June 23 (Mon) i walked into the barn and checked on his back left foot because he has thrush in it really bad for about a month the thrush medicine wasn't working until i got some thrush buster a really powerful med. so now it's clearing up. i groomed him and then did some parelli, gave him some treats (apples are his favorites after that comes none other then blackberry's) and massaged him, he's never sore but since he has a little arthritis i massage him to be sure it never gives him problems. June 28 (sat). i walked in the barn and he whinnied at me. i forgot to say he has thrush so bad because he stands in poo all day so i muck it out whenever he goes, it was one of those days. i mucked it, put fresh shavings in it and cleaned his buckets. groomed him and rode him bareback and allowed him to go where he pleased as long as he kept going (parelli). after that i gave him apples and mints. and let him graze in the parking area. on July 2 (wend) buddy ( with my sister and court jester) and i went trail riding in his pasture he showed me some trails and we played in the creek he absolutely loved it as we were headind back i allowed him to go where he pleased and we canter around the pasture he decided to do it, it was those magical moments that we all horselovers dream of. when we got back i hosed him down and let him loose in the indoor arena to finish drying off and i mucked his stall, cleaned his water buckets, gave him fresh water, and put a some blackberrys,mints,apples,watermellon rind, and carrots each in his feed bucket. after that i groomed him again and put him into his stall.
