Hey Ya'll,
Buddy is doing great. I've taken two more clinics with him. The first two i worked on the seven games (parelli) and the third i did applying them on his back. I already new how to play them, but it was nice to have a pro give you some tips to help. The farrier was out and i got his hooves done (it was high time). I asked her about this HUGE crack on his back hoof that has been there for 3 years. She said to make a mix of tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar and spray it on twice a day. The oil is a antiseptic and the vinegar normals the acid level something like that. He's starting to get his winter coat ( he's turning into a fluff ball ;). I'm gonna start doing something diffrent for worming, (i forget what it's called), but all you do is take a small sample of the horses poo and give to your vet who sends it off to a lab and they will see if you need to worm your horse (9/10 horses actually don't need to be wormed). You do this every six months and it only costs you 12 bucks. Other then the hooves he's doing great.
