Hey Y'all,
Buddy is doing well at his new home. I got him out and took him to the arena and played a couple of the seven games with him. Then i got up on him and just walked him. He did really well considering i haven't been on him for like ever. i just rode him around the arena a couple of times and that was it. I took him to the round pen and did some round penning work with him. He really had no idea how to stop so I'm gonna take him down to the round pen a lot and work with him on it. I also gave him a bath, he really enjoyed it. Then i treated his hooves with ToDay mastitis, it's for lactating cows, but it works wonders for thrush deep in the central sulcus. Two of his hooves have it (both right) so i have put it in a couple times and the frogs are already starting to open up and grow back from the inside out. I put apple cider vinegar on the outside of his hooves to help with the cracks and to protect them. The farrier will be out in about two weeks.

Hey Y'all,
Buddy is at his new home:)! He's very happy to see some of his friends from ducktown. The pastures are amazing and he loves it. I moved him last Friday and he was so calm. I gave him a bath (something i have wanted to do for awhile). Then on Saturday i groomed him and did some groundwork, he did really well and was completely relaxed (last time we moved him he went wild horse on me) I'm gonna see him a couple times this week and let y'all know how he's doing.

Hey Y'all,
Buddy is doing well. I had the farrier out this week and he said Buddy's hooves looked great! He was very impressed how far he has come along. I got him a different fly repellent for his face and hopefully it'll work better than the stuff i use now. I've been considering a fly mask, but I'm not sure. He's been doing well and maintaining the healthy weight without his grain. I'll see him Wednesday.

Buddy
Hey Y'all,
I saw Buddy on Saturday and he is doing well. When i went out to get him, he saw me and came walking up. I was shocked to see half of his face covered in flies! It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. He didn't have any cuts on him, they just liked him for some reason. So i brought him in (he has settled down nicely) and groomed him and gave him his grain. I probably sprayed half a bottle of fly spray on him! His hooves are looking really nice and healthy. The only problem is a crack on his back right hoof that has been there for like five years. I didn't do any groundwork since it was 95 degrees out and there was no shade. He's looking really healthy. Part if his mane that was at his Crest always stuck up (as you can see in the pictures) but with his healthy diet it is going down and is extremely soft and silky. So he's doing well. I'll try to put pictures up of him at the farm he's currently at.

Changes
Hey Y'all,
So much has happened in the last year. I ended up moving Buddy to a place Mrs. Cheryl was leasing called Ducktown. It's a run down place, but the back pasture is amazing. It was probably 10-15 acres with grass up to your knees. The pasture had a huge (almost vertical) hill the horses had to walk up when they where turned out so he built up a lot of muscle. He has lost a lot of weight and the vet was extremely happy. She said he looked great and his hooves looked amazing. I actually had to switch farriers. The one that was trimming him was actually doing a lot of harm, but the new farriers is doing a fantastic job. Unfortunately Mrs. Cheryl stopped the lease and moved him to one of her different properties. It's 60 acres and he is now out 24/7. It has a catch pen so I've been able to continue working on his parelli with him. He's doing a great job. No one is out at the 60 acres to take care of the horses so he only gets the grain when i come. His coat looks incredible with the natural diet of just grass. I'll keep y'all posted on any changes. I should be out tomorrow and Saturday so I'll update sometime this or next week.
